Mail in Daylite is growing fast and we’re just getting started. Since launching Early Access, we’ve been listening closely to customer feedback and steadily checking off the most requested features. With every release, Mail in Daylite becomes more powerful, and we’re thrilled to see more and more customers making it their primary email tool. If you’ve been waiting for search, formatting tools, better calendar support, or just a smoother email experience, this update is for you.
Search Your Entire Inbox—Even Offline
The wait is over: full inbox search is now available to all customers. You can search across your entire email account or narrow it to the current mailbox. Behind the scenes, Daylite downloads and indexes your messages in the background, making search results lightning fast and available even when you’re offline.
Whether you’re trying to track down a specific message or reviewing recent activity, search gives you the confidence to quickly find what you need, even if the email hasn’t yet been linked in Daylite.
Smarter Handling of ICS Files
Daylite now does more than just detect ICS files, it helps you take action.
If you’re unfamiliar, an ICS file is a type of calendar attachment commonly sent via email to schedule meetings or share appointment details. They’re often used when someone sends you a calendar invite from another system like Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.
When you receive a meeting invite, Daylite now shows detailed information and gives you quick options to accept, decline, or mark it as a maybe. With one click, you can view the appointment in your Daylite calendar to see it in the full context of your schedule.
You can also now add non-meeting appointments—like reminders for a haircut, dentist visit, or client lunch. These informational ICS files often get buried in emails, but Daylite detects them and lets you instantly add them to your calendar, so nothing falls through the cracks.
If a meeting is forwarded to you, even if you’re not on the original invite, you can now accept it and get it on your calendar, with the organizer automatically notified. And if a meeting gets cancelled before you respond, Daylite will still highlight that for you, so you’re always up to date.
Compose Faster, Send Smarter
We’ve made big improvements to the email compose experience to help you move faster and send with confidence.
When typing a recipient, Daylite now prioritizes colleagues who are also users in Daylite and gives you more detail to pick the right contact, especially helpful when you’ve got multiple people with similar names. Once you’ve added a recipient, their full contact details show up in the side panel, including any linked opportunities or projects so you have everything you need to write a thoughtful, informed message.
You can also enable the new formatting bar to bold key points, add bullet lists, or clean up your layout. It’s a great way to make your emails more readable and professional.
Better Signatures—With Image Support
You can now create a unique signature for each of your email accounts, which is especially helpful if you manage multiple roles or brands in Daylite. And now, signatures support images—one of the most popular requests we heard from early adopters.
Whether you’re adding a logo, photo, or banner, your emails can now look even more polished.
One-Click to Save Attachments
Saving email attachments is now faster and easier. With one click, you can save to your downloads folder or choose a specific destination if needed. It’s a small tweak, but one that makes a big difference when you’re working quickly.
Faster Performance, Smoother Scrolling
We’ve optimized how Daylite loads and displays emails especially those linked or related to multiple Daylite items, such as contacts, opportunities, or projects. You’ll experience smoother scrolling, faster load times, and fewer rendering issues.
