Email is central to how most businesses communicate. It’s where clients ask questions, decisions are confirmed, files are shared, and important details are recorded.
That’s why Mail in Daylite is built to do more than simply let you read and send email. By bringing your inbox into the same place as your contacts, projects, opportunities, tasks, and appointments, your communication becomes part of the bigger picture of your business.
With the latest enhancements to Mail in Daylite, working with that communication is getting even easier. Messages can now be printed and redirected, new email is detected faster, and optional mail sounds help you stay aware of incoming and outgoing messages.
Here’s a more in depth look at how the enhancement to Daylite Mail will change your game!
You Can Now Print Messages Directly from Mail in Daylite
One of the most requested additions to Mail in Daylite is here: you can now print directly from the email itself on Daylite for macOS. Simply open the message you need and go to File > Print. From there, you can print a physical copy or use the print dialog to save the message as a PDF.
While so much of business is digital, there are still plenty of reasons you may need a copy of an email outside of your inbox. A lawyer may need correspondence for a client file. A consultant may want supporting communication for a meeting. A contractor may need to bring project details to a job site. Or you may simply need to save an important exchange as a PDF for your records.
Whatever the reason, it’s now much easier to get an email out of your inbox and into the format you need.
Redirect Messages When Someone Else Needs to Take It On
You can now redirect messages to someone else directly from Mail in Daylite on Mac and iOS.
Unlike forwarding, which sends a message as coming from you, redirecting passes the original message along while preserving the original sender information. It’s a useful option when a message reaches you but really needs to be handled directly by someone else.
Whether you’re passing a client request to the right person or making sure an inquiry reaches the person best equipped to respond, you now have another way to keep communication moving.
New Messages are Detected Faster
Mail in Daylite now detects new inbox messages faster on both macOS and iOS.
Email often drives the next step in your work. A client approves a proposal, answers an important question, requests a change, or confirms a meeting. Faster detection means those messages appear in Mail in Daylite sooner, helping you stay current without needing to leave Daylite to check another inbox.
Sound Notifications for Sent and Received Messages
Mail in Daylite now supports sounds when sending and receiving messages on both Mac and iOS.
If you like an audible confirmation that a message has been sent or want to hear when something new arrives, you can manage your sound preferences under Daylite > Settings > Mail > Sounds.
It’s an addition that can be especially helpful when you’re moving between tasks and want confirmation that a message has been sent or that something new has arrived without stopping to check.
A Clearer Distinction Between People and Companies
Participant tokens in Mail in Daylite message views and lists now display a company icon when the contact is a company.
This visual distinction makes it easier to understand who is involved in a conversation at a glance, particularly when your Daylite database includes both individual contacts and company records with similar or related names.
Improvements That Make Everyday Work Easier
The best workflow improvements are often the ones that remove small interruptions from your day.
Easily printing or saving an important email. Redirecting an email to the right person. Seeing new messages sooner. Knowing that an email has been sent without stopping to check.
Together, they make Mail in Daylite a more complete and convenient place to manage the email that keeps your business moving.
