Meetings play an important role in our business lives. Whether you are organizing internal meetings with your team or external meetings with prospects, clients and vendors, having a reliable system for coordinating and tracking attendance is critical for a frustration free and seamlessly dependable process. In August we released updates to sending external meeting invitations, elevating the experience with new innovations, decreasing the amount of time spent managing the endless details involved with meetings. We are thrilled to turn our attention to how Daylite Mail will make responding to external meeting invitations you receive via email a seamless experience.

Daylite Mail To The Rescue
With Daylite Mail we’re elevating the experience you will have responding to the external meeting invites you receive via email. Previously with DMA we would be in competition with Apple Mail’s interface for responding to meeting invites, which caused confusion and frustration. As Daylite users, we don’t want Apple Mail getting in the way, we want our meetings in Daylite where they can continue to build important history about our client interactions, not to mention for visibility in the rest of our schedule. With Daylite Mail responding to external meeting invitations will play perfectly with Daylite workflows and deliver the experience you expect.
More Control With Daylite Mail
When you receive an email with a meeting invitation, Daylite Mail will make it easy to respond. Buttons to accept or decline the invitation will appear alongside the email and all the related Daylite items, such as contacts, opportunities and projects.

This will allow you to review these related items in the Details View before you commit to the meeting. Reviewing related items will give you clarity to make a decision on attendance. For example, reviewing a related project might remind you of work you need to complete before the next status meeting. This allows you to decline the meeting, and suggest a later date to convene to allow you to complete the necessary work. With Daylite Mail’s decline workflow you’ll be able to include a message with your response, providing a reason why you cannot make the meeting, or suggesting a different date or time.

Daylite Mail Sneak Peek #4
In your fourth Daylite Mail sneak peek we’re demonstrating how easy it is to respond to external meeting invitations. You’ll see how efficient it is to accept a meeting along with the ability to review related items in the Details View.
We’re beyond excited about Daylite Mail and how it will increase the speed at which we process our email. Adding key workflow improvements to speed up turning our emails into actionable items in Daylite, while at the same time continuing to build a rich history of our email interactions. Daylite Mail will help us all get out of our inboxes, giving us back time to put towards other priorities.
As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what you’ve been seeing of Daylite Mail.
