Create a Project as soon as you win an Opportunity, and seamlessly transition from sales mode to fulfillment mode. Opportunities and Projects serve different purposes in Daylite: An Opportunity is used to track the steps towards winning a new deal; A Project is used for tracking the steps involved with actually delivering the service or product.

You can easily convert an Opportunity to a Project at any time, although this most often happens once your lead has agreed to purchase your service or product. In other words, once you have closed a sale.
Creating a Project from an Opportunity is easy with Daylite! Instead of manually creating a new Project and transferring all related details, you can do it with just a few clicks:
- Select the Opportunity that you want to convert.
- On the far right of the header, there will be a “…” button. Clicking this button will reveal a drop-down menu with the option to create a “New Project from Opportunity.”
- Once selected, a new Project will be linked to the Opportunity with the same name.


This streamlined process eliminates duplicate data entry and helps you and your team hit the ground running immediately after closing the sale.
